Примечание:: I have used the same blue semi-mat glaze (surface rutile crystals), cone 9 electric, for 20 years. I use it on EVERYTHING. Here's what has happened - maybe 2 or 3 times over the years I've mixed up a new batch of this glaze and it has turned out a shiny semi-прозрачный dark blue. I have always assumed that I wasn't paying attention when I weighed out the raw chemicals because after realizing the bad glaze I mixed up a new batch it has always returned to the regular semi-mat blue glaze. This time however, it has not. I had bought some new CoCO3 and had used it on the bad batch so I thought it was the coCO I ordered some more CoCO3 from a different source and the next batch of glaze was fine. About 3 weeks later I mixed up another batch and no good - shiny. I had opened a new bag of either Custer or Silica and can't remember which. So I bought new silica and Custer but no- still shiny. Any suggestions??? This glaze will go shiny if over fired, but that hasn't occurred. Thanks for ANY suggestions.
